A new Quinnipiac poll finds Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo with a comfortable lead over his Republican challenger Carl Paladino.
According to the Quinnipiac University poll released today, Cuomo has an 18-point lead over Paladino, 55 to 37 percent.
A Quinnipiac poll released two weeks ago had Cuomo's lead at just six percent, which shocked more than a few people in the Empire State.
Pollster Mickey Carroll believes the increase for Cuomo can be attributed to some voters souring on Paladino after his public blow-up with "New York Post" reporter Fred Dicker last week.
