On the frustration of today’s game:
I think frustrating is a good word to use right now. It is obviously not the outcome we wanted. We have a lot of disappointed players in the locker room right now including myself. There are plays out there to be made. I thought our defense fought for us, I thought our special teams did a great job, and offensively we just have to start putting points on the board. I think the first two drives the second half we had great field position and we just shot ourselves in the foot with missing a throw or penalties. That is an opportunity where we can change the momentum of the game and I never really felt like we got that on our side. We were always backed up or in passing situations and we never really found our rhythm.
On Miami’s defense:
That is a good defensive football team. They did a great job of getting into our back field, wrapping people up, and causing negative plays and not allowing us to get into our rhythm. That is credit to their front guys. They are physical, they are fast, they are well coached and they are coming to play. We have to watch it on film, fix what we need to fix and move on to next week.
On the strategy of getting a safety:
I didn’t even think about it to be honest. I know we were backed up, I don’t know, I was not even thinking about it. I was hoping we could get the ball back as soon as we can. I know we needed a score and I think we used all of our time outs at that point and it did not even cross my mind.
On the 10-play scoring drive:
I would say for the most part in that 10-play drive they were sitting back into coverage a little bit and made it a lot easier on us that we could find our guys underneath. Fortunately on that fourth down play we found Roscoe (Parrish) down the seam and that was a great way to find a rhythm and get into something positive. We needed more of that today and unfortunately we didn’t get that.
On the touchdown:
I don’t know whether they were playing a zone or a man coverage on that side. If it was man the safety should have carried him but the safety played zone and the corner if they were playing zone should have come off and taken Roscoe (Parrish) but he played Lee (Evans) on the outside I believe and Roscoe ran free down the middle.
On today’s game:
I think offensively we want to score, we want to be exciting. There are still 15 football games left to prove that and I don’t see any reason why we can’t do that. We have the players in this locker room, we have the coaches that can do it and I am still excited. I know everyone else is still excited too. There is really no reason to be down or disappointed and we need to come back next week.
On Bills Running Back CJ Spiller:
I don’t know whether we really got him going the way we needed to. I think early on we didn’t convert on some third downs or going three and out or six and out whatever it was, keeping our defense on the field too long and we never really got into that run pounding sort of situation. We could never really get him going. I thought for the most part though he fought for me and that is all I am asking for. Those offensive linemen fought for me and that is all we really need.
