On what caused the struggles today:
Iím really not sure. Just have to go back and look at the film tomorrow to see what it was. The guys did a great job of making good tackles and making the plays. We just werenít able to make enough. Our defense played well. It was our first game and hopefully weíll be able to learn a lot from this film, everybody on the offensive side and even the defense. Hopefully we can get it together for next week.
On how Spiller felt he played individually:
It was alright. I donít think it was the best I can play. I know itís not the best I can play. I got to pick it up. I got to make the plays. I canít sit around and wait for someone else to make them. I just have to go and look the film and see what they did and try to adjust it and move on to the next one.
On anything Spiller didnít expect like the speed of the game:
The speed was fine. They wanted me to go outside just like most teams that are going to play me this year. They are going to want me to go laterally instead of north and south. I got to be able to adjust to it. Today I didnít do a good job at that. Iíll look at the film and see what I missed on.
On the Dolphins ability to tackle Spiller in the open field:
Iíve got to do a better job of making guys miss. Today I didnít do a good job of that. They did a good job of as soon as I was there they were right down on top of my toes. A couple of plays I was a shoestring away from making a big run. Thatís why you work in practice. You work on drills of picking your feet up. That one particular play that we had, it happened when we played Indianapolis in the preseason, the end came down and made a shoestring tackle there. It could have been a big one there. I just got to learn and I got to run through those.
On how the blitzing affected the offense:
Not much at all. When I was in there it didnít seem like they blitzed that much. Seemed like they played more zone than anything and tried to man up linebackers with the running back. To me I didnít really get blitzed that much.
On Miami having good coverage or Trent Edwards having a hard time throwing:
He didnít have a problem throwing. He was taking what the defense was giving. Like I said, weíll have to go and watch the film and see what they did defensively and try to correct it before we head up to Green Bay.
