Julia Natoli's got a vision to go with her beautiful voice. One day, this Penfield High School senior hopes to make singing her profession. Opera is her passion. "Every time I come back to a piece I never perform it the same way twice," she says, "because I'm never at the same point in my life twice." In the classroom, Julia leads by example. No task is too hard. Every assignment is a welcome challenge. She studies theory and voice, and takes part in nearly all the school choirs. "Julia takes music to a higher level," says Music Teacher Diane Abrahamian. "She really tries to be more of an artist than just a singer, and really a well-rounded musician." "I love the process of singing and discovering new things with other people," says Julia, "so I do think I'd love to teach but I think my heart truly lies in performance. I'm hard working, I'm motivated and I'm really going to do everything I can to make my performance career in opera work, because it's all I want to do." Julia has already sung in a live radio broadcast. She won a prestigious vocal competition at Nazareth College. She'll study voice in college. She's an amazing talent who's well on her way to living her dream.
