(Washington, DC) -- New York Governor Eliot Spitzer may have rendezvoused with a call girl at Washington, DC's distinguished Mayflower Hotel. According to the "New York Times," Governor Spitzer reserved a room on the eighth floor under a friend's name during a visit to the nation's capital in February. The "Times" cites court papers as saying the governor was caught on a wiretap confirming plans to have a woman travel to Washington.
The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, which has an upscale clientele, has refused to comment on the allegations.
