Residents on Rochesters northwest side will soon have another option for grocery shopping. Tomorrow, doors will open at the new PriceRite store on Dewey and Driving Park Avenue. PriceRite, the largest cooperative grocery store chain in the U.S. purchased the former Wegmans building last fall from the City of Rochester after neighbors pushed for another food store the neighborhood. The Wegmans store closed in April of 2007. Mayor Duffy will join PriceRite officials for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 tomorrow morning at 375 Driving Park Avenue. One hundred jobs are expected to be created with the stores opening.
