Rochester police were called to Wilson Commencement Academy on Friday.
Police say a threatening message was found in a bathroom at the school around noon.
The district says the building was immediately secured. That means students remained in their classrooms and no one was allowed in or out of the building.
The building was searched and nothing was found.
Students were dismissed at their usual time. But, as a precaution, police were stationed outside the school.
The district says the school will be searched again this weekend and on Monday, all students will be scanned before entering the building.
