Irondequoit teacher now sporting a mohawk

A-TEACHERGETSMOHAWK2008-02-25-1203978586.jpgA teacher in Irondequoit is thinking pink and creating a buzz with his new haircut. That's Jasson Jobson in the barber's chair. The phys ed teacher told his students if they raised 1,000 dollars for Jump Rope For Heart, he'd sport a pink mohawk. They met that goal...and then some.


"I just decided to use a little extra motivation and the kids loved it.  Our goal was $1,000 and we raised $3,800," says Jobson.


Top money raiser Raind Steger says, "My mom called my grandma who worked at the police department.  The people donated the money and stuff for the people."


Jobson will wear his new do for the rest of the week. He says it’s worth it because the students got a lesson in helping others and in fitness for jumping all that rope.
