Trooper Andrew Sperr of Greece was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop in Big Flats, New York in March of 2006.  Sunday, the NYS police team played the Amerks alumni team in a benefit game at the Blue Cross Arena. Proceeds of the game will go towards the Sperr scholarship fund, benefiting all of the schools Trooper Sperr attended in the Rochester area.

The Amerks alumni team plays several games a year to benefit local charities.
