Cady Street fire leaves family without home

CADYST.FIRE2008-02-11-1202748870.jpgA big fire Saturday night in Rochester on Cady Street engulfed an entire home. Crews responded just after 7:30 p.m. to the house on Rochester’s southwest side. Two adults and three children escaped unharmed.


“Due to the large volume of the fire the close proximity of the house next door and the way the winds are blowing tonight the incident commander called for a second alarm to bring personnel to the scene," says Sam Mitrano, executive deputy fire chief of the Rochester Fire Department.



It took about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
