Hundreds took part in the epilepsy foundation's big night Saturday night. The 22nd Annual Chocolate Ball to benefit the organization was held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
The highlight of the event was of course sampling of these extraordinary desserts. After the tasting there was a live-auction with bidding on exclusive chocolate cakes. One of the cakes sold for three thousand dollars. All the money benefits the Epilepsy Foundation of Rochester.
Cakes were designed by prominent area pastry chefs and their creations were made exclusively for the Epilepsy Foundation
"All the money that we make at the chocolate ball funds services for epilepsy and everything we do at the foundation its also a great showcase for the chocolate chefs, of which there are 10 here this evening," says David Milliman, president of the Epilepsy Foundation.
The foundation provides services to nearly 10,000 individuals in the area with epilepsy and event's like Saturday’s is key in keeping the foundation thriving.
