New CEO at Bausch and Lomb

Bausch and Lomb has a new leader.
Wednesday, the company named Gerald Ostrov as chairman and CEO. He replaces Ron Zarrella, who will retire in March but remain as chairman emertis.
Ostrov comes to B&L from Worldwide Vision Care, for Johnson & Johnson, where he was company group chairman.
"It has been a privilege to serve as Bausch & Lomb's chairman and CEO since
2001. Working with thousands of highly talented employees worldwide, we were able to grow every aspect of the company while enhancing its reputation as the world's premier eye health brand. Jerry has extensive experience in ophthalmic businesses and consumer marketing, and is the ideal leader to take Bausch & Lomb into a new era of growth," said Zarrella.
B&L recently was sold to private-equity firm Warburg Pincus.
