(ROCHESTER) - Many parents who send their kids to Corpus Christi on Oxford St. were shocked that the school is one of the 13 in Monroe County that will close. Parents say they're going to keep their kids in Catholic schools, because they're smaller, and they feel they get a better education. At St. Monica on Genesee St., the scene was one of disbelief Friday afternoon. Many of the parents we spoke to hadn't heard the news yet.
"I can't believe they're shutting us down," said Hugh Wilmot, a parent. "St. Monica's has been here for all my kids."
"I love all the kids," said Cynthia Barr, a crossing guard. "This is terrible."
