Power remains off for thousands of local customers still in the dark from Wednesday's wind storm.
12,900 RG&E customers remain in the dark. 372 local National Grid customers are without power.
RG&E hopes to restore most customers by Saturday afternoon.
Crews have been called in from Ohio, Connecticut and Long Island to help.
Thursday's calmer weather is a big factor is getting power turned back on but officials say more wind Friday could hinder restoration efforts.
One Red Cross shelter remains open. It's located at the Carter Street Recreation Center in the City of Rochester. The Red Cross says about 15 people are staying there.
