A former computer programmer for the Monroe County Library is facing charges of child pornography.
State Police have charged David DeAugustine, 66, of Fairport with possessing an obscene sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child, both class E felonies.
Police say an analysis of his home computer revealed over 100,000 pornographic photos with 5,000 child pornographic photos and 24 video clips of child pornography.
The investigation began three and a half years ago. Initially, police were looking into someone who was uploading child porn from the Monroe County Public Library to the Internet. That investigation then led to the arrest of DeAugustine.
DeAugustine was released on an appearance ticket. He's due to appear in Perinton Town Court on January 22nd.
