Deadly accident in Orleans County

The Orleans County Sheriff's Department is investigating a deadly crash that happened just before 10:30 Monday night in the Town of Kendall on State Route 18, just east of Transit Road.
Police say 37 year-old Bernard Yocum of Point Breeze, was killed when he failed to negotiate a turn. His truck went off the road and hit a utility pole.
Investigators say the truck did become airborne at some point and ejected Yocum from the vehicle. Yocum was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is under investigation.
