trooper2008-01-06-1199671938.jpgState police have fired a trooper involved in a deadly crash in Wayne County in Cctober. 30-year-old Shonda Skinner was killed driving her car on Route 104 in the Town of Huron in October. Skinner’s 7-year-old son was taken to the hospital with a broken leg. NYS trooper Eric Kristansen was responding to a call at the time of the crash with his lights and sirens on. Officers say Skinner stopped to make a left hand turn when Kristansen, driving reportedly as fast as 127 miles per hour, crashed into her car. In December, a Wayne County grand jury cleared Kristansen of fault in the crash.
