Bills Almost As Sloppy As Weather In Loss To Giants

By: The Sports Network
Updated: December 23, 2007
Kawika Mitchell and Corey Webster returned interceptions for fourth-quarter touchdowns and Ahmad Bradshaw sandwiched an 88-yard touchdown run in between, as the New York Giants recovered from an early 14-point deficit and clinched a playoff spot with a 38-21 victory over the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Giants (10-5) bounced back from last weeks 22-10 setback at home against Washington and won for the third time in four games. They also finished their road schedule with a record of 7-1, winning seven in a row after losing the season-opener at Dallas. New York will be on the road in the playoffs as a wild card and will play at either Seattle or Tampa Bay on the first weekend in January. The Giants are in the playoffs for the third straight year, but have yet to win a postseason game under head coach Tom Coughlin. Bradshaw finished with 151 yards and Brandon Jacobs added 145 with two touchdowns before leaving the contest with a sprained ankle. The Giants piled up 291 yards on the ground in rainy, snowy and windy conditions. Eli Manning needed to throw just 15 times and completed only seven for 111 yards with a pair of interceptions in the victory. Amani Toomer caught five passes for 99 yards. Trent Edwards completed just 9-of-26 passes for 161 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions for the Bills (7-8), who have lost two in a row. Marshawn Lynch ran for 70 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries in defeat.
