STORMWATCH 8 ALERT: High Wind Warning in Effect

Strong winds are expected to continue in the Rochester area tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for a significant portion of Western New York. Winds could gust in excess of 30 mph through tonight.

As colder air moves in, News 8 is also watching the possibility for lake-effect snow on Christmas Eve. Areas to the west of Rochester could see a few inches. Stay with News 8 and FOX Rochester for the latest.
