HANNAHMONTANAbus2007-12-18-1197995812.jpgThe winter blast did not stop the party downtown Sunday night for thousands of area kids. Teen singing sensation Hannah Montana's concert went on as planned at the Blue Cross Area. Before the concert police officers were directing cars, and even limos, to the concert.

Many fans we spoke with beat the storm by staying in Rochester hotels Saturday night. Still, it wasn't as easy a trip for other Hannah fans. It took hours for people driving from Buffalo, Oswego, and other upstate New York cities to arrive and find parking.

"The roads were typical for upstate New York this time of year,” said Tom Boney of Oswego. “The plows were out, everyone was being cautious and just a little bit slower than normal."

Lt. John Smith of the Rochester Police Department said,  “A lot of out of towners, they don’t know where to go, they don’t know where to park and the weather is a little bit of a factor, but everyone’s been awesome.  They’re getting here early, they’re doing all the things....they've done their homework."

And when fans got out they were greeted by more wind and blowing snow, making for a tricky drive home.
