Ogden police are investigating a serious case of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police say the house on Hutchings Road had about 800 parts per million of carbon monoxide. That's about ten times above the acceptable level.
The Spencerport Fire Chief tells News 8 Now about 6:30 am Tuesday, a 16 year old awoke for school when he noticed his 14 year old brother passed out in the bathroom. The teen alerted his parents, who called 9-1-1.
All four were taken to the hospital, but everyone is expected to be okay.
The fire department says a faulty furnace is to blame for the CO leak. There were no records of any maintenance on the furnace.
There was not a carbon monoxide detector in the home, but RG&E installed one before leaving the scene.
