Three Rochester hikers rescued in Yates County

hikers2007-12-09-1197262857.gifThree hikers from Rochester are lucky to be alive Sunday after getting stuck in the woods for several hours last night in Yates County.  The men were hiking in the Hi Tor Game Management Area in the Town of Italy on the southeast side of Canandaigua Lake.  During their journey, one of the men got his clothing wet and starting feeling the effects of hypothermia. The other two hikers were able to call 911 for help and rescuers were eventually able to reach the men. All three hikers are being treated at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
