New millionaire in Rochester

A-LOTTERYWINNER2007-12-06-1196978534.jpgMeet Monroe County's newest millionaire…Ron McKay won a million dollars on a 'Liberty Millions' scratch off ticket. He's the third person this year in Monroe County to win more than a million dollars playing the Lotto.


McKay owns a real estate agency in Pittsford. He's been playing Lotto games for 40 years and couldn't believe his eyes when scratching off the ticket.


"I started to scratch the prize amount off and it said 'jackpot', so I quick had a heart attack and stuck it in my pocket because I didn't believe it and then I went home and sat down for a while and finished clearing it off and after about an hour I calmed down and showed it to my wife," said McKay.


Ron has already begun to spend his winnings. He ripped his jacket on the way in to the mall, so he bought a new one about twenty minutes before the check presentation.
