New Rochester School Superintendent signs contract

BRIZARDSIGNSA2007-11-30-1196444873.jpgThe Rochester City School Board and Jean Claude Brizard have agreed to a three-year contract naming Brizard Superintendent of Schools. Brizard's salary will start at $215,000, making him the highest paid school superintendent in Monroe County. Brizard is a former top official with the New York City Department of Education. He replaces Dr. Manuel Rivera, who left the Rochester School District last spring to work with Governor Spitzer. Brizard will begin work in Rochester the first week of January, 2008.
