Albers returned home today after receiving the award from the National Youth Sports Coaches Association Wednesday in Florida. He says he was just glad to be on the list of candidates.

"It's kinda disbelief because there's like thousands of great coaches across the country. So to be selected was kinda a shock when you consider all the thousands of coaches and stuff there are," says Albers.

Albers is a retired Navy commander and also coaches youth basketball and baseball. He also teaches earth science at Charlotte High in the city of Rochester.
