Charges pending after car, train collide in Wayne County

A Palmyra man is recovering at this hour at Strong Hospital after his car was hit by a train. The incident happened just before 2:00 a.m. this morning. Wayne County Sheriff's deputies say 30 year old Ian Grandy of Palmyra had parked his car on the railroad tracks near Tellier road. A CSX train heading west hit Grandy's car, flipping it on its side and pushed it a quarter of a mile before stopping. Grandy is in satisfactory condition today at Strong Hospital. Charges are pending.
