The half million member union says it's pulling out because of the labor dispute at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Rochester, where workers have been unsuccessful in their ongoing effort to join a union.

NYSUT says it was scheduled to hold its convention at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center April 1-4, 2009.
