Deadly accident on Thruway

All lanes are back open on the Thruway this morning after a fatal crash involving a man from Webster. Westbound lanes between the Waterloo and Geneva exits were closed for several hours. Police say a vehicle operated by 72 year-old Francis Hillen of Webster was stopped in the right hand lane of the Thruway for unknown reasons around 8:40 last night when he was struck by another vehicle driven by 26 year old Jeffrey Myers. Hillen was taken to a Geneva hospital where he was pronounced dead. Myers was taken to A Clifton Springs hospital for non life threatening injuries.
