The wing will divert at least 80 percent of patients from the old entrance which, is now used primarily for surgery patients.
“That roughly accounts for about two to three thousand members of our community that are coming through these doors everyday for care and to visit patients in the hospital,” says Rochester General Hospital CEO Mark Clement.
The Polisseni Pavillion is part of an ongoing expansion at Rochester General. Construction has now begun on RGH's new emergency department.
