A college student was arrested Friday for an alleged "trick" he played on trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Geneseo police say instead of handing out candy that night, he handed out something that landed him in jail. Police say 22-year-old Joshua Balduf, a student at Suny Geneseo gave some trick-or-treaters marijuana. The incident happened Halloween night at an apartment at 72 Court Street. Police say four teens in costume knocked on Balduf's door asking for candy. Balduf told them he didn't have any and turned them away. The teens came back shortly and Balduf invited them inside the apartment.
Police say he and his roommates, 21-year-old Jesse Schulman and 21-year-old Nicholas Watson, not only gave the 15-to-17-year-olds marijuana, they smoked it with them.
Balduf now faces several felony charges including endangering the welfare of a child. He and his roommates are now out of jail, but they're expected to appear in court next month.
Police aren't sure if any other trick-or-treaters were invited to smoke marijuana. Anyone with information is asked to call the Geneseo Police at (585) 243-2420.
