(Syracuse) The Syracuse Orange opened the 2009-10 college basketball season with a resounding 75-43 win over Albany on Monday night at the Carrier Dome. The victory gave head coach Jim Boeheim the 800th of his career, joining such elite company as Bob Knight and Dean Smith. He becomes just the 8th Division I coach in history to reach that plateau. Syracuse led 38-20 at the half, then poured it on in the second half. Syracuse is home to Robert Morris on Wednesday night, a 7:00pm start time.
