SU hoops coach pays visit to Rochester Rotary Club

JIMBOEHEIMB2007-10-30-1193781431.jpgIt's rare to see Jim Boeheim, the men's basketball coach at Syracuse University, in Rochester this time of year. Boeheim says he never makes speaking engagements during the season, but gladly made an exception for the Rochester Rotary Club Tuesday.


Talk quickly turned to Syracuse hoops and one of Boeheim's youngest teams ever. Coach Boeheim says the talent level of his team is high and so is his blood pressure.


"It's going to be a tremendously exciting team.  I get excited every day I go to practice.  I'm yelling every day - not good things.  Not things that I can repeat here, but every day's exciting," said Boeheim.


Boeheim says his team is going to win a lot...but he thinks they'll hit some bumps in the road. The Orange first take to the Carrier Dome court this Sunday, when they host the College of Saint Rose in an exhibition game.
