Cowboys to announce contract extension for Romo

The Dallas Cowboys are set to announce a six- year contract extension for quarterback Tony Romo at a Tuesday afternoon press conference.
The Dallas Morning News reported, according to two unnamed sources close to Romo, that the deal will guarantee the quarterback a little more than $30 million.
The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, also citing two sources close to Romo, reported that the total amount of the deal is close to $70 million.
Romo, whose current contract was set to expire at the end of the season, has completed 62.8 percent of his passes this season for 1,984 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
For his career, Romo has completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 4,887 yards with 35 TDs and 22 picks.
