Rochester is getting help in getting city high school students to college.
The University of Rochester has been awarded $2 million from the US Department of Education.
The money will be used for two programs, one specifically for students at Jefferson High and the other for math and science across the district.
The U of R will partner with the district for tutoring, SAT prep, and cultural activities to put at-risk kids on the road to college.
