Public schools in Monroe County are filing a lawsuit in connection with County Executive Maggie Brooks Fair Plan. The Monroe County Legislature is also named in the suit. School districts are asking a court to order the county to pay school districts their entire percentage of the sales tax revenue. Brooks plan calls for that money to be sent to the state as part of a Medicaid intercept plan. A media conference will be held later today. Tune in for more on the lawsuit today at noon on News 8 Now.
