Mixed news for school improvement projects

By: WROC-TV
Updated: October 17, 2007
It's back to the drawing board for Byron-Bergen Schools this morning. A vote for a large school project was rejected for the second time by the district.

The $29.5 million capital building project failed by nearly 200 votes. The project would have been funded by state aid and money from local taxes.

In East Rochester, a renovation project passed by nearly a two-to-one margin. The school says that project will be funded without raising taxes.
