Companies looking to expand in Monroe County now have a new place to consider.

Monroe County announced that Village Square has been named the first officials "shovel-ready" site in the county.

The 92 acre mile long site in Honeoye Falls is already permitted and ready for construction, waiting for a business to come in and build.

Custom Brewcrafters, which began construction this month, is among the first companies to locate in Village Square.

Village Square is the second shovel ready site in the Greater Rochester area.

The first site is located in Avon in Livingston County.
