Homicide arrest

Police are continuing their crackdown on violent crime...today announcing the arrest of a second person in a deadly September shooting.
17-year-old Gregory Bernard has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Raymundo Rodriguez. Last month, 30-year-old Steven Rivera was charged in the same murder.
Bernard was arrested Thursday night for the shooting death of Raymundo Rodriguez. Rodriguez was murdered outside of a house party on Roycroft Drive in early September.
Police say it appears there was some sort of argument involving Bernard, Rivera and the victim before Rodriguez was shot multiple times. Police would not say whether Bernard was the one who pulled the trigger.
Chief of Police David Moore says it's the continued efforts of officers on the streets that led to this second homicide arrest.
“This is the 18th homicide that we've actually cleared because of the efforts that major crimes, working in conjunction with our special investigative section. It's all about having the resources, but most importantly it's about good police work, good solid relentless police work, and that's what we've seen in this case," says Chief Moore.
