Brighton goes blue for homecoming tonight

football2007-10-12-1192202923.jpgElmwood Avenue will be closed at Twelve Corners for a special celebration this afternoon in Brighton.
 
The Brighton Chamber of Commerce will host Brighton High School's homecoming community celebration.
 
The party starts at 4:00 p.m., centered on the front grounds of Brighton's Twelve Corners Middle School, facing Elmwood Avenue at the intersection of Monroe Avenue & South Winton Road. Live music and free ice cream will be, dyed blue for the school's colors.

The Homecoming parade leaves the high school parking lot at 6:15 p.m., followed by the varsity football game at 7:30 p.m. where the Brighton Barons will take on the Newark Reds. Fireworks will follow the game.
