Today, the county will present her family with an award in her honor.  26-year-old Bertina Forde died after being hit by an SUV while she crossed Saint Paul Street last November.

Today, her family will accept the "Rising Star" award, presented by County Executive Maggie Brooks at a human services awards luncheon at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
