Rochester officer attacked

One Rochester police officer was attacked Saturday night.

Officer Robert Henkes asked a crowd to disperse when the group became disorderly. One person punched the officer in the face. Arrested were 37-year-old John Howard, 28-year-old Curtis Sapp and 17-year-old Terrance Hobbs, all from Rochester. Howard was charged with assault and resisting arrest. Sapp and Hobbs have both been charged with obstruction of governmental administration.

Officer Henkes was treated and released from Rochester General Hospital. He'll miss one or two days of work as a result of the attack.
