Thursday, Rochester leaders announced the city's first Columbus Day Parade. The parade will be held this Saturday at . It will start on

East Avenue
and end on
East Main Street
. RIT’s former president Al Simone will lead the way.


Mayor Bob Duffy says the parade is a celebration of the city's Italian -American heritage.


Columbus Day is officially this Monday, October 8th.
