According to the plan, Brooks would cut the school's share of the sales tax to help pay for growing Medicaid funds, the county budget crisis would be fixed by reducing the amount of sales tax that supports education.
Some school officials say Brooks is overstepping her bounds and they want to ask the courts to enforce the current sales tax law.
