Canandaigua wrestling coach resigns

RICHROMEO2007-09-27-1190931238.jpgEmbattled Canandaigua wrestling coach Rich Romeo is stepping down.


Romeo resigned as head coach, just weeks after being reinstated to the post.


Earlier this year, Romeo pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, amid allegations he physically mistreated some of his players.


Romeo remains a middle school gym teacher.  The resignation will be addressed at Thursday's school board meeting.
