September is prime time for the wasps both in numbers and aggression. For some people with bee allergies it is also a season of utmost caution as encounters with Yellowjackets can even prove fatal.

While Karen Klingenberger, a Horticulture Educator with Monroe County Cooperative Extension reports phone calls from people with concerns are picking up, area exterminators are--not coincidentally--as busy as bees.
