WalMart gets the thumbs up to build a superstore in Northgate Plaza in Greece.
The town planning board granted a conditional approval of the proposed 145 thousand square foot superstore to be built. The project has been a controversial. Neighbors who opposed to the store say it was a foregone conclusion that it would happen anyway.
WalMart will have to meet a long list of requirements that deal with environmental impact, traffic control, and impact on the character of the community among other things...all of which will have to be submitted to the board before final approval.
