FIREFIGHTERSMEMMASS2007-09-11-1189544163.jpgTuesday night, firefighters from around the region will pay tribute to those who were lost and remember why they serve their community.


"It's certainly an event that has far-reaching effects over the years.  We do have family members tonight that will be at church who lost brothers who were firefighters in New York,” says Dan McBride of the Rochester Fire Department. “There's an ongoing suffering that is still very evident and we want to be able to support those kind of people and comfort them and offer our support."


That mass is at 7:30 tonight at Sacred Heart Cathedral and is open to the public.
