A Rochester man is charged with animal cruelty after investigators say he neglected his three dogs.
Rochester Animal Services removed three German Shepherd puppies from the Champlain Street home of Anwar Johnson, 25.
Humane Society investigators say one puppy died shortly after being taken due to starvation. The remaining two puppies were also emaciated and are undergoing treatment in foster care.
Johnson is facing misdemeanor charge and could face up to a year in jail, if convicted.
