When school starts tomorrow for students in the Rochester City School District, fathers are being asked to escort their children on the first day back. The district is joining others across the country in supporting the fourth annual "Million Father March." Its a national campaign to mobilize fathers as active participants in their childrens school. Research shows when fathers take active roles in their childrens educational lives. The kids do better in school, have fewer behavioral problems, and are more likely to graduate from high school.
