Two weeks ago Sandy Hoover made a disturbing discovery in a barn just across the street from her house on Ridge Road. "The problem is there are animal skeletons and animal remains," said Hoover. Hoover took us inside this old barn that was once a stable on Ridge Road.  What we saw inside was disturbing. There were bones and decomposed carcasses from horses. "The bones are scattered, now of course we have a problem with coyotes but from what other people who have been in the barn have told me, within these other stalls are full grown horses with their bridles still on," said Hoover. The floor of the barn was also littered with syringes and there were cages that once held smaller animals. "You have cages that obviously had small creatures in them. There's a feeding tray desperate enough that they chewed their way out," said Hoover. Hoover believes the animals were deliberately left there to die when the stable shut down more than a decade ago. "Rather than go to someone and get help and say look I can't take care of my animals.   They were deliberately either tied up or just left in their stalls," Hoover added. The barn and the adjacent house are currenty unoccupied and up for sale. Still, Hoover wanted  to know if a crime was committed.  If so, she says she'd like  the person responsible brought to justice. "This is not right, this is not fair and someone needs to be held accountable for what occured here," added Hoover.
